With its circular shape inspired by the full moon, this shower bath reproduces and reinterprets the free-standing Bermuda Moon Gate. On the Caribbean archipelago, walking through a Moon Gate is believed to bring prosperity, beauty and good fortunes to lovers.
Teak, corten, stainless steel and brass are the noble materials used to build this particular solar shower. Outside the shower, a polypropylene tube, containing 45 liters of water, winds round the Moon Gate’s structure. The tube runs 110 meters long between the external polycarbonate panel and the internal corten steel ring, creating a greenhouse effect that heats the water for the shower.
The shape of the shower complies with its function by offering a perfect combination of sophistication and functionality.
